Instrument Rental
Many students choose to rent a stringed instrument rather than purchase an instrument outright. Most music stores offer a rent-to-own program that allows students to switch instrument sizes as the student grows; rental money can then be used to purchase a full-size instrument when the student is ready. Here is a link rental program information at Meyer Music, a local music store with locations in Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon, and Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Volunteer Opportunities
Here are some ways to make PRSO events run smoothly:
- Set-up and tear-down of rehearsal space
- Provide snacks for orchestra camp
Concert Day:
- Provide a light meal for students before concert
- Be present at pre-concert rehearsal to provide supervision for students not rehearsing
After-Concert Party:
- Plan party (organize food, plan games)
